Hawaiian Zane Schweitzer Is Named The Ultimate Waterman 2016

22-year-old Zane Schweitzer has been crowned the 2016 Ultimate Waterman. Schweitzer, a late call up for 2016, was the most consistent surfer of the multi discipline event winning three of the seven disciplines contested. Today Schweitzer placed third in the 16km Stand Up Paddleboard Race which was enough to clinch the title over runner up Danny Ching (USA).

Schweitzer Snatches Third Win And Overall Lead At The Ultimate Waterman 2016

Hawaiian athlete Zane Schweitzer has claimed his third discipline of the 2016 Ultimate Waterman in a thrilling head-to-head duel with defending champion Daniel Kereopa of New Zealand. The longboard discipline was held at Piha Beach, Auckland today in clean waves of less than 1.0m. Meanwhile, Danny Ching wins the Underwater Sprint and swim discipline pushing him into second.

Back To Back Wins For Hawaii’s Zane Schweitzer At The Ultimate Waterman 2016

Hawaiian surfer Zane Schweitzer has stung his Ultimate Waterman opponents with back-to-back wins, this time in the Standup Paddleboard Surfing discipline held in Southland today (Wednesday 16th March). Schweitzer remains in fourth place overall but still has his all-important double whammy discipline of Longboard to go.

Ching Wins Outrigger Canoe, Schweitzer Wins Prone At The Ultimate Waterman 2016

In the first discipline of the 2016 Ultimate Waterman event, Californian paddler Danny Ching (USA) dominated the 16 km Outrigger Canoe Race held at Takapuna Beach. Zane Schweitzer Three Peats At 2016 Master Of The Ocean

After a weeklong event here in Cabarete, Dominican Republic it is Hawaiian Zane Schweitzer who has just won the 2016 Master of the Ocean for the third consecutive year. Zane was on a tear all week and performed well across all four disciplines (SUP, Kite, Surf, Windsurf) earning him the title of Master of the Ocean for the third year in a row.

Congratulations to the 2x Stand Up World Tour Women’s World Champion, miss Izzi Gomez on winning the Stand Up World Tour season opener at the Turtle Bay Pro on the North Shore of Oahu.
