Congratulations to two of Starboard SUPs top US racers Fiona Wylde and Quintin Chiapperino along with Kieren Grant for winning the BVI Pain Killer Cup. The team spent four days on a catamaran cruising the islands, taking in the beautiful scenery and scoring the best wave in Tortolla before taking on the pain killer race.

With the 2016 season for the Stand Up World Tour only weeks away from kicking off the first event, the Turtle Bay Women’s Pro, on the North Shore of Oahu, Starboard SUP athlete Iballa Moreno has been at home on the beautiful Canary Islands training and practicing for the season opener. And boy does she look ready.

Lookout 2016! Starboard’s Shakira Westdorp is coming in hot into the new year and with one thing on her mind: winning the Stand Up World Tour world title for 2016. Shakira had an incredible year in 2015 and placed second overall on the SUP World Tour and is looking to one-up herself this year.

At the ripe young age of 18-years-old, Starboard and Werner Paddles athlete Fiona Wylde has traveled the world and back again. In 2015 alone Fiona went to Japan, all over the mainland U.S., Europe, the Dominican Republic, Mexico and more.

In 2015 SUP expeditioner Bart de Zwart set off on the trip of a lifetime where he traveled around the world in 27 days with friend and photographer Franz Orsi. The twosome flew around the world with inflatable SUPs from Starboard SUP to the corners of the world. Starting the trip off in the Pacific then heading to Asia, Africa, Europe and Central America, de Zwart and Orsi traveled to and met with remote civilizations with strong connections to the water.

One of the most talented ladies in our sport has just released a new edit of her time spent on Maui, her home away from home. Starboard and Werner Paddles athlete Fiona Wylde is an amazing multi-sport athlete excelling in not only stand up paddle surfing and racing but she’s also an incredibly talented wind surfer as well.

Starboard SUP announced this week that they will be launching a new initiative – growing the National Grassroots Team Program in the USA by enlisting 100 new Brand Ambassadors. “We see a lot of potential in the US market,” said Starboard CEO and brand visionary, Svein Rasmussen, “…and it all starts on the front lines with passionate locals who, like us, want to take SUP to the next level".
