Connor Baxter Wins Long Distance Race In Japan & Takes 2nd Overall At Event

The 2016 Victoria Cup in Japan was a great event with one of the most stacked fields ever in the Stand Up World Series. The top 20 were chomping at the bit and hungrier then ever. Connor Baxter Describes His 5th Straight "Olukai" Crown

The 2016 Olukai Ho’olaule’a Event was not only in the most epic conditions, but it was a great way to dust off last weekends race. I got home on Monday after The Carolina Cup and the wind was cranking and I couldn't have been more stoked. I went for about five runs to make sure the gear and body was in check for one of the most incredible weekends.

Connor Baxter Grabs 5th Title, New Women’s Champion Emerges At 2016 Olukai Ho’olaule’a

Maui did not disappoint for day two of the 8th annual OluKai Hoʻolauleʻa three-day ocean festival with local Connor Baxter and new women’s champion Sonni Hönscheid taking home the gender equal prize purse of $15,000. The prestigious eight-mile Stand Up Paddle (SUP) race saw over 325 of the world’s elite paddlers battle it out on the famous Maliko Downwind Run on Maui’s North Shore, the highest amount of contenders in this race to date.

Michael Booth Dominates Forster Island

Congratulations to Starboard’s Michael Booth from Australia who dominated the Forster Island Paddle Festival last weekend.  Michael won the BOP and the 10km race portion of the event while coming in 3rd in the 200km sprints.

Fiona Wylde, Quintin Chiapperino & Kieren Grant Win Pain Killer Cup

Congratulations to two of Starboard SUPs top US racers Fiona Wylde and Quintin Chiapperino along with Kieren Grant for winning the BVI Pain Killer Cup. The team spent four days on a catamaran cruising the islands, taking in the beautiful scenery and scoring the best wave in Tortolla before taking on the pain killer race.

2-Day Self-Supported Expedition On The Muskoka River

World explorer and Starboard SUP ambassador Bart de Zwart just finished up a 2-day self-supported expedition race on the Muskoka River. Bart de Zwart took part in the Muskoka X Coureur de Bois challenge which he describes as a "race different from anything else." See his story from the race here.
