5th Paddle At The Porch Hits Gulf Waters On August 20

The 5th Annual Paddle at the Porch, a stand up paddle board  (SUP) race, will take place on Saturday, Aug. 20, in the beautiful emerald green Gulf waters behind The Back Porch Seafood & Oyster House in Destin, Florida.

Paddle Boarder Collides With Jumping Shark

At Corners, Carlin Park, in Jupiter Beach, Florida paddle boarder Maximo Trinidad had quite the run in during his lunch break. While SUP surfing, out of nowhere a jumping shark collided with Maximo and knocks him off his board, scaring the living daylights out of him!

Florida Woman Breaks Paddle Boarding World Record

Seychelle Hattingh has just accomplished an incredible task. Seychelle just broke the record for longest paddle (man or woman) in 24 hours, paddling 110 miles pretty much non-stop for 24 hours straight (her longest break was only around five minutes).  Seychelle broke the current record on December 5th and 6th, 2015 and did it all to raise funds to sponsor athletes from Florida Monroe County that participate in the Special Olympics.

Nearly $40K Raised At Standup For The Cure Miami

On Saturday November 2nd, Miami Beach residents witnessed the 3rd Standup for the Cure event of 2015. Our celebration of Life! Once again a crowd of around 300 came together to raise funds and awareness for early Breast Cancer Detection, research, treatment and education  while enjoying a day of Standup Paddling, Live Music and great food and drink.

Gargantuan Grouper Caught On Paddle Board

Captain Ben Chancey got the experience of a lifetime when he was able to reel in a gargantuan 7 foot long, 400 pound grouper off of his paddle board off the East Coast of Florida.

Sunshine SUP Series Event 1 Goes Off Without A Hitch

The 2015 RK Sunshine SUP Series kicked off its first race on June 27 2015 in Pompano Beach, Florida.  This year the race was hosted by Island Water Sports and brought in over 100 racers, the youngest racer 12 years old and the oldest 75 from everywhere in Florida, the US and even the Caribbean, some racers the top in the Nation.  This event benefits the Broward Childrens Center.

Paddle Boarding With Alligators

Alligators are members of the animal kingdom that can be pretty dangerous to be around. At the end of January 2015, Nick Halloran went paddle boarding with a few of his friends through Myakka State Park in Florida and they came across quite a few gators! There is even one point in the video where there is an extremely close call and he almost gets knocked off his BOTE board by the gator.

Fight to SOAR, Apalachicola River Expedition
