Englewood Beach Waterfest Bringing Outdoor Fun To Florida’s West Coast

ENGLEWOOD BEACH, Florida - Fall in the Charlotte Harbor and the Gulf Islands area brings with it some of the destination’s biggest and best open-air arts and cultural events. If you’re unfamiliar with the destination, Charlotte Harbor and the Gulf Islands is a charming collection of coastal communities located south of Sarasota on Florida’s West Coast widely known for its pristine beaches, internationally renowned fishing, champion golf courses, affordable rates, and not to mention home to some bucket list events.

At the top of the list of fun things to do in the Fall in the area is the Englewood Beach Waterfest, happening this November. It’s bringing some big names and even bigger excitement with multiple weekends consisting of three staple events – Ecofest, Paddlefest and Racefest – full of fun for the entire family! Spectators will see the return of Waterfest’s Ecofest and Paddlefest.

Paddlefest starts on Friday, Nov. 11 with a pre-race packet pick-up, pool party, and shrimp boil at Hooked On SUP at Cape Haze Marina. Free with race registration, a Movie at the Marina follows dinner, so plan on staying to watch a great surf movie from the heated outdoor pool or pool deck on a huge outdoor screen. November 12-13 features 6-mile, 3-mile, and 1.5-mile races, PaddleFit Challenge Games and a Rockin’ Relay.

More than 100 people are expected to sign-up for competitions. Of course, post-race parties, raffle prizes and games will follow. Weston’s wannaB inn is also offering discounted rates for all race participants.
