Londoners Invited To Join Campaign To Clean London Waterways

Between April 8 and 13, 2016, London’s waterways will host recreational paddlers collecting rubbish from canoes, paddle boards and  kayaks all in a bid to raise awareness of the plastics pollution problem and to clean London’s waterways.

Fiji Confirmed To Host 2016 ISA World SUP Championships In November

The International Surfing Association (ISA) has confirmed today that the 2016 ISA World Stand Up Paddle (SUP) and Paddleboard Championships will be hosted in Fiji – the first time that an ISA event will be held in the Pacific island chain, further highlighting the global growth and expansion of SUP Surfing and Racing.

Back To Back Wins For Hawaii’s Zane Schweitzer At The Ultimate Waterman 2016

Hawaiian surfer Zane Schweitzer has stung his Ultimate Waterman opponents with back-to-back wins, this time in the Standup Paddleboard Surfing discipline held in Southland today (Wednesday 16th March). Schweitzer remains in fourth place overall but still has his all-important double whammy discipline of Longboard to go.

Ching Wins Outrigger Canoe, Schweitzer Wins Prone At The Ultimate Waterman 2016

In the first discipline of the 2016 Ultimate Waterman event, Californian paddler Danny Ching (USA) dominated the 16 km Outrigger Canoe Race held at Takapuna Beach. The following day, Starboard SUP athlete Zane Schweitzer (HAW) paddled his way to a significant win in the Prone Paddleboard race held at Piha Beach, Auckland, New Zealand. Stand Up Paddling is a fast growing sport and local authorities in Slovenia, a picturesque country in Middle Europe, spotted an easy way to collect some quick and easy cash. Being resourceful, they just skipped businesses as planned on the Californian coast and want to collect directly from paddlers to avoid the middleman.
