World's Best SUP Racers To Compete For Biggest Prize In Paddling This Weekend

CARLSBAD, California – The world’s best paddlers are set to compete at the second annual Pacific Paddle Games presented by Salt Life this weekend (Sept. 30 to Oct. 2) at Doheny State Beach. With a $60,000-prize purse on the line, the most money ever offered in paddling, it’s no surprise that ALL of the top professionals in the world are en route to Southern California this week from around the globe. Almost 500 participants in total are registered across a range of disciplines including professional, amateur and youth divisions; the youngest competitor will be seven and the oldest 69 years old.

After its inaugural year, the Pacific Paddle Games presented by Salt Life is now the most anticipated event of the year, and not just for pro paddlers. The West Marine Demo Zone will feature the largest SUP demo weekend in the country in a fun and festive atmosphere for the whole family and paddlers from beginner to expert. Participants will have the opportunity to try new shapes from the industry’s best brands as well as an array of free clinics to hone paddling skills.
