Red Paddle Co Launches New Designs For 2017

VANCOUVER, Canada - Red Paddle Co is proud to announce the release of its 2017 stand-up paddleboard (SUP) range. Introducing a number of new features, as well as three brand new innovative designs which fall in to the fastest growing categories – racing and touring – the British brand continues to excel in both design and technical specification.

The NEW 14ft Elite is the fastest inflatable race board ever designed. Weighing only 10kg, the Elite is 25” wide and features Red Paddle Co’s MSL Fusion technology – an exclusive construction method that delivers a lighter, stiffer board at higher pressures. The Elite also includes Red Paddle Co’s patented Rocker Stiffening System (RSS), making the board up to 40% stiffer in conjunction with its latest technology, Forward Flex Control (FFC). FFC works in tandem with RSS, to further stiffen the nose and remove flex from the front of the board, creating a more authentic paddling experience.

Next on the list is the NEW 22ft Red Dragon. Designed for team racing, the Dragon is set to take the sport to the next level. This is the world’s first inflatable four-person race board, and with the power of eight arms driving paddles through the water, it can reach incredible speeds. The Dragon retains the same features as most of the Race family, including a profiled nose, slim body, and high sides, making it rise out of the water and slice through the waves.

We designed the Red Dragon to bring the thrill and excitement of SUP racing to the spectators and I cannot wait to see what some teams are capable of as this is one fast machine!” The final board being launched is the 11’3ft Sport. This is another NEW offering from Red Paddle Co, designed for lake, ocean and river touring. The Sport boards are a popular, narrow shape for people with a bit more experience, and the 11’3ft caters to those with a slightly larger build. Hibbard, adds: “This is a great piece of kit for the more experienced paddler, as the drawn-out nose section delivers more speed and dynamic performance for those longer journeys. Whilst the Sport family are not racing boards, they offer a great flat-water performance for riders.”

The innovative Red Paddle Co bag features a NEW foil lining designed to protect the contents against extreme temperatures. Alongside this, Red Paddle Co has introduced the LeverLock handle – the easiest way to securely alter and fix the length of your paddle’s shaft. LeverLock’s patented technology allows you to make adjustments on the fly with one hand, giving you maximum flexibility with minimum fuss. Available on a number of different paddles, this adjustable handle is sure to be a popular one.

Red Paddle Co has also partnered with RAM Mounts, the world’s leading accessory bracket manufacture. Their whole 2017 range will now feature a universal base to securely attach a range of accessories like GPS devices, GoPros, phones, fishing rods, waterproof speakers, and much more.

Last, but by no means least, Red has partnered with FCS Fins, the world-leading surfboard fin creators.
