Just recently Outside magazine announced the Summer 2013 winners of the Gear of the Year awards which are featured in the Outside Summer Buyer’s Guide that hit newsstands on April 30th. ·The magazine shared 329 favorite products for this season and for SUP they chose the BIC SUP 11’ and 12’6 WING ACE-TEC stand up paddleboards!

The Colorado SUP season is upon us starting this weekend in Buena Vista with PaddleFest. CKS is hosting a weekend celebration to promote the beginning of the summer paddling season May 25-27th. 

Summer paddling is underway in Colorado and the Boardworks Surf is making a splash across the state with the “Show Up & Blow Up” SUP demo tour, hosting stand up paddling demos, clinics, and competitions at three prominent river festivals in Colorado: CKS Paddlefest (Buena Vista), FIBArk (Salida), and the Gunnison River Festival.

Boardworks Surf and Badfish Stand Up Paddle have challenged the design constraints of existing drop-stitch inflatable SUP technology to create a board with tapered rails and enhanced rigidity.  The result is the MCIT.

After joining up back in July of this year, Boardworks and Badfish have been working hard to advance the technology of whitewater SUP. Now, they have announced the new inflatable MCIT stand up paddleboard to be offered in 2012.
