SAN DIEGO, California - Red Paddle Co will be pitting the world’s most popular inflatable stand-up paddle board against 10 experiments to test its durability and see what it will take to break or destroy the board.

The 10’6” Ride MSL will be put through its paces and set several different extreme challenges over the next fortnight, in a series of tests to see how much pressure, weight and all-round battering the board can withstand. The paddle boarding brand want to prove that inflatable SUPs are just as strong as others on the market, and show that Red Paddle Co boards are tougher, more durable, and longer-lasting.

The Board Vs. campaign will see the board put through a variety of experiments including extreme height, weight, and pressure, along with some more unusual adversaries to see how hardy the Red Paddle Co inflatable board really is. Kicking things off next week, Red Paddle Co will be undertaking a new challenge every two days and posting videos of their findings on social media.

Explaining why the brand chose to embark on this challenge, Charlie Green, Head of Marketing at Red Paddle Co states: “Innovation and development is at the heart of everything we do at Red Paddle Co. We pride ourselves on always pushing the boundaries and producing the very best inflatable boards we can. There is still a perception that an inflatable SUP board might be a bit like a lilo but Red Paddle Co boards are highly technical and innovative products that we have spent years perfecting. During these experiments, we will be proving just how strong and durable our inflatable boards really are!”

When created, each Red Paddle Co board is put through a series of lab tests to ensure it is fit for purpose before being released on to the market. In this set of trials the brand will take this testing process one step further by using the same 10’6” Ride board and pushing it to its absolute limit to see just how long it will last.

Green continues: “We have decided to go above and beyond our normal testing processes, pushing the boundaries of what you’d ever expect to see on your average SUP expedition!”

Their first video is now live which you can see on their below. The next challenge is due to be released on Monday 27th March so stay tuned to find out what’s next!
