Back To Back Wins For Hawaii’s Zane Schweitzer At The Ultimate Waterman 2016

Hawaiian surfer Zane Schweitzer has stung his Ultimate Waterman opponents with back-to-back wins, this time in the Standup Paddleboard Surfing discipline held in Southland today (Wednesday 16th March). Schweitzer remains in fourth place overall but still has his all-important double whammy discipline of Longboard to go.

Ching Wins Outrigger Canoe, Schweitzer Wins Prone At The Ultimate Waterman 2016

In the first discipline of the 2016 Ultimate Waterman event, Californian paddler Danny Ching (USA) dominated the 16 km Outrigger Canoe Race held at Takapuna Beach. The following day, Starboard SUP athlete Zane Schweitzer (HAW) paddled his way to a significant win in the Prone Paddleboard race held at Piha Beach, Auckland, New Zealand. Ultimate Watermen and Mauli Ola Give Kiwi Kids A Water Blast

Smiles, surf and sun were prescribed to kiwi kids with Cystic Fibrosis today as The Ultimate Waterman kicked off its official events at Orewa Beach, Auckland. All eight international watermen who are here to compete in the multi-discipline surf competition took part in the one-on-one sessions with the kids aged between five and sixteen years old.

Australian All-Rounder Jamie Mitchell To Compete In The Ultimate Waterman

Australian Jamie Mitchell will line-up against the world’s best watermen in a quest to win the 2016 Ultimate Waterman title. Mitchell will join eight other athletes from around the world, including fellow countryman and waterman Mark Visser, in New Zealand from the 12-20 March, 2016. They’ll compete in eight surf disciplines to decide who is the best overall waterman.

SUP Surf Documentary Will Showcase New Zealand To The World

A documentary that showcases the beauty of New Zealand’s landscape, our culture and excitement of our adventure activities will air this week to a potential global audience of 4.2 million. The 48-minute documentary is about New Zealand’s very own international surf event The Ultimate Waterman - won by Raglan surfer, Daniel Kereopa. It took place over eight days throughout New Zealand in March 2015.

Kereopa Takes the Lead After Another Win at The Ultimate Waterman

Another sizzling performance by New Zealand surfer Daniel Kereopa has seen him clinch back-to-back disciplines in The Ultimate Waterman driven by Subaru. Kereopa won the longboard discipline Thursday evening. The win, in Kereopa’s double whammy discipline, awarded him 2,000 vital points and catapulted him into the lead with one discipline remaining. Kereopa entered the water today ranked seventh of eight athletes.
