Slater Trout (Boardworks) and Morgan Hoesterey (Surftech) have won the Elite men and women's race at the Surftech Shootout in Santa Cruz.

Day one of the Santa Cruz Paddle Fest kicked off this morning. Round 1 of the Surftech Shootout got underway at Steamer Lane in glassy 3-5 foot waves, with a slight breeze expected to pick up this afternoon

With the surf and weather forecast looking  favorable for next week's Surftech Shootout and Duel SUP/Prone Race presented by SUP Magazine, registered competitors are gearing up for one of the most anticipated events of the year.
