5. Ryan Maloney: Athlete/ Type 1 Diabetic

As an athlete, having health issues that are out of your control can be a difficult hurdle to jump. 16 year-old Boardworks Surf ambassador Ryan Maloney has dealt with a major life hurdle being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of two. Learn more about Ryan here.

 

 

 

 

 

4. World’s First Self-Inflating Electric SUP

You may remember the insane story that we shared in January called Paddle Boarding Among Icebergs. This was an epic short documentary shot in the iceberg-ridden Lake Michigan and the photos and video from the film were stunning.
