Thanksgiving Feast - How Many Calories?

What's your favorite?  The turkey and potatoes or pie?

You were probably one of the many million American’s who sat down last night to a night filled with friends, family and neighbors for that amazing and delicious American tradition.  Thanksgiving Dinner!

Usually, we’re relaxing, enjoying wine, appetizers and then the piece de le resistance!  The grand Turkey Dinner!  Complete with turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes and of course that all-important Thanksgiving staple, pumpkin pie, with whipped cream of course!  Most will go back for seconds, some will undo the top button on their pants, some will thank their lucky stars they wore fat pants.   So have you ever wondered how many calories are in a typical Thanksgiving meal, including drinks, appetizers, dinner and dessert?

Well, there’s good news and there’s bad news.  The bad news is that its estimated that the average American will eat between 3,000 and 4,000 calories in that one meal. The good news?  It’s once a year.  So go ahead and enjoy but get out and get some exercise after.

Turns out SUP’ing would be a great way to slice off some of those calories.  Depending on your body and heart rate an hour of SUP’ing could burn between 650-1400 in just an hour.  So do it all at once, or over the course of a few days, but burning those calories off is possible!

Enjoy your holiday and get out on the water!
