Barcelona World SUP Fest Delivers at EuroTour Stop #4

BARCELONA, Spain — The excitement was palpable, and the 2025 Barcelona World SUP Fest lived up to its billing as the biggest event of the year on the EuroTour calendar. Held under clear skies and in light yet technical conditions, competitors gave it their all, battling for top honors in one of the most anticipated races of the season.

Women’s Elite Race Recap

Puerto Rico’s Mari Carmen Rivera dominated the women’s race from start to finish, earning her most significant EuroTour victory to date and confirming her exceptional form. Close on her heels was Spain’s Duna Gordillo, who remained strong and steady to secure second place. Rounding out the podium was Alba Frey of the Canary Islands, who remained in the front group for most of the race. Spain’s Espe Barreras delivered an epic comeback after an early fall, finishing fourth. France’s Anais Guyomarch showed consistency throughout the race and claimed the fifth spot.

Men’s Elite Race Recap

Japan’s Shuri Araki once again proved to be in a league of his own, controlling the pace with authority and managing his lead to secure another championship win. Spain’s Antonio Morillo delivered his best performance to date, finishing second. France’s Arthur Arutkin claimed third in a strong showing, while Spain’s Aaron Sánchez and France’s Titouan Puyo rounded out the Top 5—Puyo delivering his best result in the past two seasons.

Youth and Community Highlights

The afternoon junior races delivered some of the most engaging action of the event, with tight finishes, high energy, and plenty of smiles all around. The youth competition highlighted the strength and future of the sport in Europe.
