Naish Launches SUP Domestic Racer Program

If you’ve ever dreamed of joining the Naish Race Team, now’s your chance! Naish has just announced that they are launching a new stand up paddle domestic racer program. Basically, the program is aimed for ‘passionate paddlers and dedicated racers’ who want to step up their game in SUP racing and not have to break the bank while doing so. With this program Naish is offering the chance to receive special team pricing on their elite race boards, the Maliko and Javelin models as well as their Carbon Elite paddles.

The World's Straightest 6Km SUP Race

The most fascinating race in Greece for 2016, the Corinth Canal Paddle Crossing on October 30th, was a huge blast. This year aside from the 163 SUPs that crossed the Canal for the 6th Hellenic SUP CUP, organizers in cooperation with Hellenic Canoe-Kayak & SUP federation, invited athletes from all sports that H.C-K.F. represents (canoe, kayak, surf-ski, SUP) to join and the outcome was a BIG success.

The International Surfing Association (ISA) and the Local Organizing Committee for the 2016 Fiji ISA World SUP and Paddleboard Championship, Tourism Fiji, have set a new standard in sustainable practices by aiming to make the competition, which will take place from 12-20 November, carbon neutral.

SUP, Surf & Sibling Rivalries At The 2016 Tofino SUP Championships

The mini-grom beat the grom as sibling rivalry returned to the 3rd annual Tofino Paddle & Surf Championships, October 21 to 23. A 13-year-old Finn Spencer beat out his 15-year-old older brother Jeffery to win the men's Pro Stand Up Paddle surf division, claiming the national title. And for the first time, prize money - $200.

SUPing The Land Of The Midnight Sun

No sooner than our car entered the driveway, and I was already drooling over the land of liquid we were encased in. We unloaded our suitcases and our bladders and I looked at Mary and said, “24 hours of traveling and two hours of sleep total…you got enough energy for a paddle?” She giggled and we got back in the car and headed for the cold waters of the Norwegian Fjord nearby. It was the beginning of what was to be a well traveled Northern European SUP adventure.
