In a year where nothing can be taken for granted, SUP Western Australia (SUPWA) is thrilled to confirm the 2020 Stand Up Surf Shop King of the Cut will go ahead on Saturday 5th December 2020.

Records Smashed at 2019 King of the Cut

Australians James Casey from Sydney and Angela Jackson from the Gold Coast were crowned the respective King and Queen of the Cut and broke course records while doing so.

Records Smashed at 2017 King of the Cut

Race records have been smashed at the sixth Stand Up Surf Shop King of the Cut with the fastest eight male competitors all beating the previous fastest time for the 24km downwind race in Mandurah, Western Australia over the weekend.

King of the Cut Announces Live Tracking for Competitors

This weekend on Saturday December 2, Australia’s most prestigious Stand Up Paddle (SUP) race and the word’s fastest downwinder, the Stand Up Surf Shop King of the Cut, is going down. For the first time, competitors will wear tracking devices and can be followed in real time.

King & Queen of the Cut Crowned

Over 130 international, interstate and local competitors gathered for the World’s fastest downwind paddle race, the King of the Cut Race on Sunday, December 4, 2016 in Mandurah, Western Australia. Near perfect conditions blew in for the 24-kilometre race with southerly winds at 18 to 20 knots.

King Of The Cut Attracts Big Names

Australia’s Michael Booth (Starboard) has won the 2016 Fiji ISA World SUP Championship, a 17km marathon race from Cloudbreak to Musket Cove in Fiji. Booth will be heading back home to Western Australia shortly to compete in the world’s fastest downwind SUP race, the Stand Up Surf Shop King of the Cut.
