YOLO Board Stand Up Paddle Series Winners

YOLO Board crowns the “2011 YOLO Board Cup Series” winners for the YOLO Board Stand Up Paddle Series. The series concluded on August 14th with over 112 local paddlers participated in the race season this year.

SANTA ROSA BEACH, Florida – YOLO Board announces overall series winners and top finishers from the fourth and final race of the 2011 YOLO Board Stand Up Paddle Series at the WaterColor BoatHouse on Western Lake.

The four-part series of races featured relay-style competition by four member teams in the Beginning Level and three member teams in the Next Level. Over 112 local paddlers participated in the race season this year. The final race was followed by an awards presentation ceremony and paddler gathering.

Overall winners of the Next Level were Team YOLO members Ross Carter, Justin Cook and Kyle Gallagher, followed by Team GUSU in second and the Wells Fargo Advisors team in third.

Parker Carroum, Mike Ingram, Matt Magera and Dylan Simms of the Billabong Destin team earned top honors in the Men’s Division followed by the YOLO Jr’s and a tie for third between Laser Awesome and Team Sandestin.

Winners of the Women’s Division were the Grayton Beer team composed of Donna Bandy, Amy Buchanan, Bernadette Leach and Gina Seton followed by Salon Twist and Bistro Bijoux.

In the fourth race, Matt McDonald, Travis Roach and Elliot of Team GUSU finished first for their first victory in the Next Level division followed by teams Team YOLO and Wells Fargo Advisors. Team Billabong Destin topped the Men’s Division for the third race in a row followed by Laser Awesome and the Sandestin team. The Grayton Beer ladies won the Women’s Division race followed by Salon Twist and For the Health of It in second and third place.
