Colin McPhillips SUP Camp July 13 – 20, 2013

 

NICOYA PENINSULA, Costa Rica - Colin McPhillips, 3 time ASP World Champion, is set to host an eight person camp at Blue Zone SUP in tropical Costa Rica. This is an incredible opportunity to take your SUP skills to the next level.

 

“I went to Blue Zone SUP in March”, says Colin, “to check the waves, accommodations & location and I have to say the place and people are awesome, I can’t wait to be back there in July to surf, share knowledge & tips with new friends.”

 

The Blue Zone Camp is located beachside on the Nicoya Peninsula in NW Costa Rica with the daily commute to the water being a scant 20 steps.

 

“We chose the Nicoya Peninsula because of the slew of breaks available. The bay offers a full spectrum of conditions: flat-water, small beginner waves and outer reef overhead breaks. Our panga will transport the more advanced paddle surfers to some of the heavier breaks surrounding the Base Camp - many of which you will have all to yourself.” Says Blue Zone director Rich Burnam.

 

After the morning surf session, campers can opt into mid-day excursions such as a coastal paddle, waterfall hike, swimming & beach walk or eco-river paddle tour. All packages include 2 planned activities such as ATV Tour, Massage or Canopy Zip Line Tour.

 

A personally selected chef prepares all the meals on site from locally grown fresh fruit, produce, meat and seafood. A couple of tours of local restaurants and bars are also included.

 

And if this isn’t enough, professional surf photo journalist NeilArmstrong (aka Moonwalker) will be shooting individual portfolios (from land and water) of all who are attending to take home.
