2019 APP London event
LONDON, United Kingdom - The APP (Association of Paddle Professionals) world tour is back in Canary Wharf for the London SUP Open and is offering hundreds of free sessions to visitors from September 14-18. Visitors will be able to watch the pros in action as they battle it out in stop #2 of the World Tour and can also get involved in 3 days of free paddle activities including SUP, SUP Yoga and Pilates, as well as open racing for all ages and abilities.

The London SUP Open kicks off on Wednesday, September 14 with the Nautical Mile, which will see corporate teams compete in a relay race for a chance to win the Nautical Mile Cup. The free sessions will then commence on Friday, September 16 and will continue through to Sunday, September 18, where visitors can sign up for SUP, SUP Yoga and Pilates sessions in Middle Dock and Wood Wharf.
The professional racing will kick off on the afternoon of Saturday, September 17. Canary Wharf's Middle Dock will be transformed into an arena for viewers to witness the world's best SUP athletes compete in a thrilling sprint tournament for the coveted London sprint title. There will also be open racing and team racing if visitors want a piece of the competitive action.

Sunday, September 18 will see the pros partake in the iconic voyage down the River Thames in a 15km distance race. Then, Canary Wharf and the APP World Tour are calling for all paddle enthusiasts to take to the water for the Paddle for the Oceans challenge. The global 2.5km paddle unites thousands of paddlers on the water in a show of solidarity for the oceans with 50% of all proceds going to ocean-related charities.
