After 48 days at sea, Chris Bertish arrived in Hawaii from California in support of ocean conservation and education, setting a world record for distance traveled solo, unsupported on a wing foil.
The Transpacific Wing Project, the world’s first solo, wing foil, transpacific crossing, a 2,550-mile journey by wing foil across the Pacific Ocean launched on Tuesday, May 31st.
Chris Bertish, internationally acclaimed speaker, author, big wave surfer, Guinness SUP World Record holder and conservationist, announces plans to launch the Transpacific Wing Project again in late May to early June.
Having launched on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, Bertish made the critical decision to temporarily halt the project on Sunday afternoon and head into Morro Bay for repairs to his craft.
