Over the weekend the inaugural USA SUP National Championships took place with beautiful bluebird skies and mid 70-degree (F) temps. The water conditions were perfect in the sheltered historic Long Beach Marine Stadium.

It was a day of dramatic action, performance strategy and excellent surfing in Long Beach as the APP World Tour pushed through the Final Rounds of the APP World Surfing Tour's 1st stop for the 2018 Season in New York. To sum it up in three words: Long Beach delivered.

Round 2 and 3 of the competition saw several top competitors knocked out and young hopefuls begin to rise to the challenge in the surf in Long Beach. We are headed toward a grand finale this weekend!

The first day of the APP World Surfing Tour's competition in Long Beach, New York brought together a vast pool of talent, the likes of which a SUP Surf contest has never seen before, much less in such close proximity to the island of Manhattan.

What a show! Tuesday’s Sprints in Long Beach, NY are a perfect showcase to the power of the World Title athletes' sheer talent, focus and determination. Stormy conditions with thunder rumbling in the distance, created Tuesday’s race course with ample rain, whitewater conditions and wind.

All eyes are now focused on the USA's most iconic City, New York, as the APP World Tour prepares to descend on its shores for the second stop of the racing season to kick off in Manhattan and season opener for the surf season in Long Beach.
