BANGKOK, Thailand – Starboard is proud to announce the launch of its all-new Airline Range, a line of inflatable race SUP boards designed for paddlers who demand speed, stiffness, and portability. The new All Star and Sprint Inflatable boards now feature the Quick Tension System (QTS), making setup faster and ensuring perfect tension for optimal performance.

Airline Technology Enhanced with Quick Tension System

Starboard’s patented Airline Technology uses a tensioned aramid cord running nose to tail, reinforced by a carbon stringer. This innovation ensures:

  • Consistent stiffness for energy-efficient paddling
  • Smooth glide with minimal drag, thanks to the teardrop-shaped fin box
  • Responsive rebound for precise control and maneuverability

The new Quick Tension System takes Airline Technology to the next level by enabling paddlers to adjust and lock tension after inflation. This ensures maximum stiffness, glide, and performance for racing and long-distance paddling.

“The Airline System is our unique patented technology that makes the All Star and Sprint boards the ultimate choice for riders seeking an inflatable race board. It delivers a rigidity that feels almost like a composite board. Built on a proven system, we’ve made it even easier to use with the QTS. Made from ultra-strong, lightweight materials, it performs reliably every time, allowing you to fine-tune the tension immediately after inflation.”

Athlete Tested and Approved

World Champion paddler Andrey Kraytor has already tested the new Airline Range with QTS:

“I had the pleasure of testing the two new models of the inflatable boards with the Quick Tension System, and I’m really excited. It’s much more convenient and easier to use than before. I’m currently training for the ICF World Championship, and because I travel a lot, I mostly use inflatable boards. Even during my training sessions, I reach speeds close to 10 km/h over 5 km, so having a board that sets up quickly and performs like a solid race board makes a huge difference for high-speed training and competition.”

Additional Features

  • The Airline Range includes advanced design elements to support paddlers in both racing and adventure:
  • Bungee Tie-Downs – Store gear easily for touring and expeditions
  • Three Adjustable Race Handles – Ideal for controlled beach starts and customizable grip positions
  • FCS Mounts – Attach GPS, lights, or heart-rate monitors
  • EVA Side Trays – Create a recessed composite-like deck for added stability
  • Corduroy & Color-Coded Deck Pads – Provide excellent grip and precise foot placement
  • Diamond Groove Stomp Pad – For sharp, controlled step-back and kick turns
