"I've been following Standup for the Cure for years but this year their mission became personal.” Said Mike Ferreri, Sports Anchor for KOMO 4 TV. “My wife had been diagnosed with breast cancer last year and it was our goal to get her back on the water cancer free. I am happy to say my wife is back paddle boarding again and will be racing in our Inaugural Standup For The Cure event in Seattle, she is back on the water and cancer free in large part because of early detection. Breast cancer is most treatable when found early and Standup for the Cure has developed a unique, community building event to ensure that more of our family and friends get screened on a regular basis.
