With the 2015 ISA Standup Paddle World Championships being held in Sayulita, Mexico, the best standup paddlers from Mexico battle it out to get a spot on the coveted Mexican National Team for the event. Big names in the standup paddling world such as Fernando Stalla, Felipe Hernandez, Karen Jacobson, and all of Mexico's best standup paddlers fought hard to earn a place on Team Mexico.
Earning a spot on the national team for Mexico, and any country for that matter, is a big deal to these athletes. "For me being in the World Championships and representing Mexico as I'm half Mexican, half American, is super important especially this year since it's going to be in my hometown" said Sayulitas own Karen Jacobson. Fernando Stalla stated, "It's really nice to compete and represent your country, it's the best experience."
Watch Stalla, Jimenez, Martinez, Cruz, Jacobson and all the top SUP paddlers in Mexico battle for their place on Team Mexico at the historic ISA World Paddleboard Championships on home soil in 2015.
