INTERVIEW WITH JAKE JENSEN BY FANATIC:

Q: Great to have you in our Fanatic SUP International Team! What made you ride Fanatic?
A: Just the great attitude that all the team riders and everyone with fanatic has and the great board designs that you guys keep coming up with.
Q: Tell us a bit about yourself and how you got into Stand Up Paddling?
A: Well I'm 18 and live on the beautiful east coast of Australia. I'm currently working as a life guard so everything I do is based around the ocean and has been since I can remember. Name any water sport and I bet I've tried it but SUP definitely plays the biggest role in my life.
Q: Did you get a chance to try any Fanatic boards yet and what do you think?
A: Yes I have been testing the new 2014 race board with Paul Jackson lately and fanatic has definitely hit the nail on the head with this board, unbelievable down wind, effortless through the surf and still matching it with the flat water specific boards on the market.
Q: What do you think about being on the same team as Paul & Angela Jackson?
A: I've been training and traveling with Paul and Angie for a few years now so finally being on the same team and being able to collaborate ideas will be great.
Q: You recently have been to Europe doing some events there, how was that for you?
A: Yes, it was a great experience, it was a pity it was raining almost every day but I still had fun and got some great results. Every trip is always good fun when your traveling with the Aussie crew. Ill definitely be heading back but maybe after I check the weather forecast.
Q: Which upcoming events are you planning to do?
A: At the moment it looks like everything is in the US, my next race will be on Lake Tahoe in August then to the Gorge and on to Chicago before the Battle at Dana Point.
