KISSIMMEE, Florida - If you’re in town for the Surf Expo in Florida this coming weekend, you have the chance to be present and watch history be made. This Saturday, Sept. 6, the inaugural Nude SUP Challenge, the world's first clothing-optional stand-up paddleboard race, will be held at the nudist Cypress Cove Resort.
The event will crown the World Champions of Nude SUP. Wear anything or nothing at all, however, PFDs are required for the four-loop, approximately 4-mile, flat water event. The event takes place completely within the confines of Cypress Cove on the 50-acre Brown Lake.
If you love this idea and want to be a part of it but are feeling a little shy, don’t worry! The grounds are closed to the public and no cameras or videos are allowed on the grounds so only the people present will be able to witness this race.
Your race entry gets you full-day admission into Cypress Cove. Want to make a night or weekend of the event? Call Cypress Cove (407.933.5870) for hotel and campsite information. Cypress Cove is an easy 30-minute drive from the Surf Expo. Don't miss this chance to be a party of history! For more info and to sign up click here.
As a special part of the Nude SUP Challenge, The supPOCKET has even created a limited edition nudePOCKET as prizes for the winners. The nudePOCKET comes with the same high quality features as The supPOCKET including the fact that it’s ‘Made in the USA’, four super-strong suction cups that attach The nudePOCKET to the board, a zipper design that means you can store sunscreen, clothing, refreshments – whatever you like – in The nudePOCKET while paddling, and a low profile design that means it won’t interfere with the paddle experience.
They are on sale now, and all you have to do is email [email protected] to place your order. As it’s a limited edition, they are only available to buy when ordered via email.
