NORDHAUSEN, Germany - The 2025 Nordhausen SUP Cup delivered a stellar day of racing on the clear waters of Lake Sundhäuser, marking the fifth edition of this standout event on the EuroTour. With perfect weather and an enthusiastic local crowd, the event showcased top-tier performances and exciting battles across both the women's and men's fields.
Women's Race Highlights
Germany’s Oda Diestel impressed with a dominant performance, breaking away in the first lap and securing her first major victory. Denmark’s Emma Freja Pedersen followed with her best result on tour to date, maintaining a steady pace to finish second. Rising Dutch junior Elin van der Sar claimed third, demonstrating the payoff of dedicated off-season training. Rounding out the top five were Stinna Morell Lerche of Denmark and German junior standout Katrine Sandberg, both putting in strong and consistent efforts.

Men's Race Highlights
On the men’s side, Donato Freens of the Netherlands, a past event winner, finally clinched his first Euro Tour victory of the season with a flawless performance. Fellow Dutch athlete Maximus Sijrier pushed hard for second, while Germany’s Bastian Grimm, despite a missed turn, fought back to take third. Tomas Lelovits of Slovakia secured fourth with a steady race, and Michele Capizzi of Germany completed the top five after a bold early Super Lap move that paid off with his best tour finish to date.
