Race The Lake Of The Sky 2014 Heading For Tahoe

 

LAKE TAHOE, California - This weekend (July 28,29), the third annual Race The Lake Of The Sky takes place in beautiful South Lake Tahoe - one of the most spectacular venues you'll find anywhere in the world for an event like this. Since its inaugural year in 2012, the Race The Lake of The Sky is quickly becoming one both an athlete and spectator favorite, bringing together a great mix of competitors, minglers and industry vendors.

 

 

This year will see a bigger vendor and workshop presence, giving visitors more to do during downtime between races. Supconnect founder and owner, Andre Niemeyer, will be there over the course of the weekend, mingling and shooting videos for you to see on our Field Notes feed on the left hand column of the website.

The action kicked off yesterday with the ever-popular Danny Ching hosting a clinic. The full itinerary for Saturday and Sunday are as follows:

SATURDAY June 28th, 2014

6:00am – On site event registration opens
8:00am – Rider safety meeting followed by the National Anthem
8:30am – El Dorado 5 miler
11:00am – SUP Cross
2:30pm – Grom Race
3:15pm – SUP Cross Finals
4:00pm – Award Ceremony
Join us after the award ceremony at the Lake of the Sky Cafe for HAPPY HOUR and MUSIC!

 

SUNDAY June 29th, 2014
6:00am – On site event registration opens
8:00am – Rider safety meeting followed by the National Anthem
8:15am – Emerald Bay Distance Race 14.4 miles
12:30pm – SUP High Jump/Limbo Contest
1:00pm – Best “Sweet” Move Contest
1:30pm – Team Relay Race
3:00pm – Raffle and Award Ceremony
