PUNTA SAYULITA, Mexico – Coming-Up Soon! Benefitting the Reef Check and Punta Sayulita Foundations, some of the top surfers and stand-up paddlers (SUP) in the world are set to return to Sayulita to compete in surfing contests as well as in exciting offshore SUP races. Confirmed competitors include surfing legends Gerry Lopez and Jericho Poppler, reigning SUP World Tour world champion, Kai Lenny, #1 woman SUP racer Candice Appleby, extreme waterman athlete Chuck Patterson, young guns Conner Baxter and Zane Schweitzer as well as 2011 Punta Sayulita Classic defending champions Darren Eudaly, Sean Poynter, Slater Trout, Mary Osborne and many more top pros.
The weekend festivities include a surf clinic for special needs children organized by the THERASurf organization, the Classic awards dinner Fiesta and the free Saturday night benefit concert on the beach featuring reggae recording legend, Pato Banton.
