The 3rd annual Oregon Open Ocean is a two-part paddle event that takes place on the fun and challenging shores of the central Oregon coast, August 24 – 26, 2012. This year’s event will benefit the American Brain Tumor Association so all participants will be asked to “paddle their brains out” for the charity.
Last weekend there was a fantastic event at the Turtle Bay Resort on Kahuku, HI. It was the Turtle Bay Summer Paddle Challenge and provided a great preview of what can be expected at the Standup World Series World Championships Final which will be held at the same location on October 12th - 14th.

The Watermans Paddle for Humanity (PFH) is heading to Georgetown for the fourth stop of the 2012 series. The family-friendly event will also serve as the Mid-Atlantic Region 6 National Qualifier for the World Paddle Association. Winners will earn entry into Septembers World Championships in Cabo San Lucas.
Connor Baxter, 17, from Maui defended his 2011 title by winning the Molokai 2 Oahu SUP race in a time of 4 hours, 13 minutes, 26 seconds. This was a repeat victory for Baxter who beat his former course record from the previous year by more than 13 minutes.
The H2O Generation and Plum Island Kayak will be holding a Stand Up Paddle Board Race in association with Newburyport’s “Yankee Homecoming".
Today is race day of another historic M2O World Championships. Once again the experienced are gathering together to cross the 32 mile "channel of bones" between Molokai and Oahu. Read on to see video and learn about specific points of interest for the 2012 event.
