Paddle Board Highlights
Who is it for?
The Aqua Marina Blaze is an inflatable all-around paddleboard designed specifically for recreational paddling after dark. Measuring 10 feet 4 inches long, 31 inches wide, and 6 inches thick, it offers a stable platform that's suitable for a wide range of paddlers, from beginners to those with more experience looking for a fun recreational board.
What separates the Blaze from other inflatable SUPs is its integrated lighting system. The board features more than seven lighting color options and four lighting modes, all controlled through the included remote and powered by a streamlined, lightweight battery pack.
Its signature translucent construction allows the lighting to shine through the board, creating a distinctive illuminated appearance once activated. Aqua Marina also uses eco-friendly digital printing technology to produce the board graphics while reducing the environmental footprint of the manufacturing process.
As a complete package, the Blaze includes the carrying bag, hand pump, adjustable paddle, center fin, leash, battery pack, and remote control—everything needed to get on the water right out of the box. The Blaze is best suited for recreational paddlers looking for a stable all-around inflatable with a unique nighttime feature set rather than a board focused on touring, racing, or surf performance.
First Impressions
From the moment we inflated the Blaze, it was clear this wasn't just another all-around inflatable SUP.
The translucent construction immediately catches your eye and gives the board a very distinctive look, even before the lighting system comes into play. It feels like Aqua Marina approached this board from a completely different perspective, focusing on creating a unique paddling experience rather than simply another recreational board.
During our testing, we were on the water during daylight hours, so we weren't able to experience the Blaze in the conditions it was ultimately designed for. However, we did have the opportunity to explore the lighting system on land, and it's easy to see why this board attracts so much attention. The lighting is bright, the color options are impressive, and switching between the different lighting modes is simple using the included remote control.
Once on the water, the Blaze immediately felt stable and approachable. At 31 inches wide, it provides plenty of confidence for newer paddlers while still offering enough responsiveness to keep more experienced paddlers engaged.
The board tracks well for an all-around design and feels comfortable cruising lakes, calm bays, and protected waterways. It's not trying to be the fastest board in the lineup, nor is it intended for long-distance touring. Instead, it's designed around casual recreational paddling, and in that role it performs very well.
One thing that impressed us was how naturally the lighting system integrates into the board. Rather than feeling like an accessory that was added afterward, it feels like it was part of the design from the very beginning. The battery pack is unobtrusive, the controls are straightforward, and nothing about the system gets in the way of the paddling experience.
If there's one takeaway after spending time with the Blaze, it's that this board delivers exactly what it promises. It offers the convenience and portability of a quality inflatable paddleboard while adding a feature that's genuinely unique within the market.
While we weren't able to paddle the board after sunset, it's easy to imagine how the Blaze would completely transform an evening paddle. For anyone looking to add a little extra fun, personality, and visual excitement to their time on the water, the Aqua Marina Blaze is a board that's definitely worth checking out.
