Victory SUPCross With Prize Money This Saturday

Surf Race to Victory SUPCross Series begins this weekend at the Carlsbad Beach Fest.

 

 

CARLSBAD, California - This Saturday is the start to a really exciting string of 4 Stand up Paddle races known as the Surf Race to Victory SUPCross Series.  This is a really unique style of SUP racing where paddlers go in and out of the surf multiple times which really tests their technical skills, surfing, racing and endurance all at the same time.  Racers are also fired up about the $2,500 in prize money that is up for grabs!

 

According to Victory KoreDry, "Entrants in the Surf Race to Victory SUPCross Series will gain points at each event towards the overall championship.  The final series event will be at Victory KoreDry’s home beach, Huntington Beach, on September 15 and will be worth double points.  Racers, fans and media can follow rankings at http://www.victorykoredry.com/."

 

The Surf Race to Victory SUPCross Series Carlsbad Race will run as a part of the Carlsbad Beach Fest which expects to have more than 12,000 people turn out to the event and will span along a mile of the coast line.  The festival will be presented in part by Legends SUP of Carlsbad and Victory Koredry who are pleased to have paddlers from both the stand up paddle and prone disciplines participate.  Along with the SUPCross races, there will also be a 6-Mile SUP Race and a 1-Mile SUP Race with divisions by age group.  All the races will begin at Tamarack State Beach.  There will be on site registration beginning at 8am.
