ORLANDO, Florida - There's light at the end of the tunnel! Despite most events in 2020 either being completely cancelled or postponed to later in the year, Surf Expo just announced they are moving forward and holding their Summer 2020 Show in Orlando, Florida. See their full statement below:

The past few months have been challenging for all of us. We are all trying to navigate through these unparalleled circumstances and adapt to doing business during the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic. One thing is for certain: this world-health crisis has reconfirmed how important personal connections and exchanging ideas are for propelling this industry forward. We believe in the power of gathering together to share, inspire, and invigorate our community, and we are committed to being that resource in 2020.

Surf Expo's top priority is the health and safety of our attendees, exhibitors and staff. As we begin to prepare for the September 10-12, 2020 event, taking place at the Orange County Convention Center, Orlando, FL, we want to assure you that we are following all guidelines set forth by the CDC, WHO, as well as state and local officials.

Surf Expo is actively working with the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC), which has formed a task force to design the venue's health and safety guidelines and develop an onsite preparedness plan. For September, these will include:

  • Enhanced cleaning protocols: In addition to its already rigorous cleaning protocols which include reinforced cleaning systems, the OCCC has now implemented ultraviolet (UV) light for disinfection to meeting spaces, along with increasing the frequency of cleaning and sanitizing has been increased in all public areas.
  • Social distancing protocol: The OCCC will be installing health and hygiene reminders throughout the property, in addition to other protocols, to aid in reducing crowding.
  • Additional sanitation stations: Sanitation stations will be placed at key guest and employee entrances and contact areas such as reception areas, entrances, stairs, elevator, escalator landings in OCCC public spaces.

As the premier watersports and beach lifestyle marketplace, we thank everyone who has been focused on safely bringing us together to unite our community for this event. Our longevity in the industry and passion for creative inspiration is the driving force behind our commitment.
