SAN DIEGO, California - With summer still tightly holding us until officially required to let us go on Labor Day, there are still plenty of SUP events to enjoy. Take your pick from events in California, Oregon, Rhode Island and even Berlin.

Join fellow stand up paddleboarders on August 27th at Negro Bar, Folsom, California for a fun filled day in the sun packed with sights, sounds and tastes of paradise.
Choose from a 5k obstacle course fun run, multiple Paddle Races, a leisure paddle experience called Paradise Paddle, a one-of-a-kind opportunity at the Yoga Cove, an entertainment filled Suntan Special, or participate in all of them.

A first class event in the flat waters of Alamitos Bay. A perfect family outing for a fiesta on the beach that will include: -2.6 Mile Amateur & Elite Race -Waterman Challenge -300 mt swim, 1,000 mt Padddle, 1,000 mt SUP -600 Mt. Kids Race -Awards Party with Adult Bevies. -A portion of the proceeds will benefit lbclean.org the baddest local clean water charity around.
Oregon Open Ocean Classic 2011
Nye Beach, Oregon

Offshore race from North to South will start at Otter Rock State Park and finish at Nye Beach in Newport (approx 8miles). Through surf start and finish will challenge the participant on both ends, while predominant northerly winds make for great open ocean paddling.
This event is open to Stand Up and prone paddle board entrants. We're also planning a flat water race up the beautiful Yaquina estuary to make this a fun filled two day event. Race Banquet will be on Friday evening at Rogue Brewery Offshore and flat water race will be on Sat & Sunday.

Morgan Becker
After spending the first part of her life in Minnesota, Morgan traded in her snow boots for sandals and moved to sunny California. After graduating with a degree in Communication from The University of Southern California, she eventually made her way down south to San Diego and is taking advantage of the living by the best beaches and burritos California has to offer. If it’s sunny, you can find her at the beach relaxing, or exploring the calm water in the bay via paddleboards and kayaks.
