The Triple Crown of Stand Up Paddle came to an epic close this past weekend with Connor Baxter and Andrea Moller-Bouwens taking first place in the overall race series. Read on for a recap of the 3rd and final race in the series, the Mormaii World Cup, from Connor.
The Highland Spring HIHO event is the World’s most fun-filled and unique watersports adventure combining SUP, windsurfing, sailing and adventure as it charts a course through the beautiful British Virgin islands.
The last time we brought you highlights from the O'Neill Tahoe Cup series the conditions were cold, they were wet, and they were darn near unbearable. This time around the mercury rose to the occasion and brought some ideal stand up paddle conditions.
The second race in the Triple Crown of Stand Up Paddle 2011 series took place on Sunday, July 11th. The race from Maliko Gulch to Honolua Bay (21-miles) saw some rough conditions but in the end, Connor Baxter paddled his way to another first place win.
SUP season is upon us and as we approach the weekend, several stand up paddle events will be held. Head on out to one of these events to participate or to show your support for the athletes in the water.
On July 30th and 31st, stand up paddlers will participate in the 2011 H2O SUP CUP Series Lake & River event held high up in Utah’s scenic mountain country at Jordanelle State Park located just outside of Park City, Utah.
On the weekend May 28-29, in the crystal clear Bay of St Tropez France, over 100 competitors came from all over Europe to participate in the International Mediterranean SUP Race.
Norwegian stand up paddleboarders compete in the Oslo SUP Challenge in the beautiful Oslo-Fjord with the Norwegian Opera House serving as a backdrop.
On Saturday, July 9th, stand up paddlers will travel to Lausanne, Switzerland to participate in the 1st Swiss SUP Championship held at Preverenges Beach on Lake Geneva.
