ENCINITAS, California – Boardworks introduces an exciting stand up paddle contest for this season called “What’s Your Move?”  This idea is the brainchild of Boardworks GM, Phillip Rainey, who has a special interest in creative and goofy SUP moves.  ”Standup is such a new sport and people are coming up with all kinds of cool moves.  Whether you are paddling in the surf, on raceboards, in whitewater, swimming pools, urban fountains, whatever,  we want to see what you are  are up to. We thought it would be really fun to create a venue for people to share what they are doing so that everyone can be entertained and inspired.”

We will be featuring the top videos at Surf Expo in January and announcing the top three winners  (you don’t have to be present to win). Difficulty and creativity will be the main criteria for judging and humor will gain some style points as well. The first place prize is a Shubu inflatable SUP, Boardworks 3 piece paddle, team Hoody and hat.  Second place is a Boardworks Paddle, Team Hoody and hat. Third Place is a Team Hoody and hat. The main idea of our contest is to show how much fun everyone is having, and even if you don’t think you will win we encourage you to share.

All video links should be emailed to phillip@boardworkssurf.com.  We will be posting all of the videos on our website in a special video section called What’s Your Move? We will also be posting the videos on our facebook page http://www.facebook.com/boardworkssurf so everyone can comment and participate. So get inspired, get creative, have fun and show us What’s Your Move.
