FENWICK ISLAND, Delaware & LAKE TAHOE, California - This weekend there are many great stand up paddle events happening all over the world.  There are 2 in particular that should be highlighted!

The first is Paddle Fenwick.  This event will bring people together for a weekend festival of stand up paddle (SUP) board fun and racing.  However the main purpose behind the event is to raise awareness and funds for Operation Second Chance (OSC), a non-profit organization committed to serving our wounded combat veterans who are recovering in the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and are transitioning back to civilian life.  The road after being wounded in combat is no easy path and many people can overlook the challenges that face these brave men and women.

The event will be held on Saturday at DelMarVa Board Sports & Harpoon Hanna’s 39084 Harpoon Road, Fenwick Island, DE 19944.  The Sunday racing will happen at Holts LandingState ParkRoad 346, Millville, DE 19967.  For details please visit the website at here: paddlefenwick.com

The second event that should receive extra attention is Race The Lake of the Sky up at Lake Tahoe, California. Last year SUP Pro athlete Anthony Vela hailed the Race the Lake of the Sky his top pick for the best stand up paddle event of the year!  This year the race looks to continue its fun and incredible allure as the organizers and sponsors are once again going all out! The event will kick off on Saturday with a 5 mile race, sup cross events and a special event for the kids.  On Sunday there will be a 14 mile distance race, relays and of course the best “SWEET” move contest where the kids/groms often beat all the adults!  For more information please visit: racethelakeofthesky.com

Have a great weekend everyone and always stay tuned to www.supconnectcom for all your SUP connections!
