SupconnectVerified
A place marked Verified has had a visit from someone at Supconnect, in person, within the last year.
What Verified Means
Anyone can list a rental shop online. Verified means one of us went there in person and checked the things that matter before you hand over a credit card or put a kid on a board. A place page shows it as Supconnect Verified · visited and the month of the visit, so you always know how fresh the check is.
Verified is not a star rating and it is not a review. It says a person checked the basics on a given day, nothing more.
What A Visit Checks
- Safety briefing. Whether a first-timer gets a real briefing before launching: leash, personal flotation, wind and tide, where not to go.
- Gear condition. Boards, paddles, leashes and PFDs: sound, the right size on offer, nothing taped together.
- Rental fleet. Enough boards for the people booked, a range of sizes for beginners, and gear that matches what the website promises.
- Instructor certifications. Current paddle and first-aid certifications for anyone who teaches, where the place offers lessons.
A check that does not apply, such as instructors at a shop that does not teach, is left out rather than marked against the place.
A Yearly Re-Check
Places change hands, fleets wear out and staff move on, so Verified does not last forever. It holds for 13 months after the last visit that passed. We aim to visit again within the year; if we have not, the badge comes off on its own and the page goes back to “Not yet verified” until the next visit. If a re-check finds a problem, the badge comes off straight away and stays off until a later visit passes.
For Operators
Verified is free for 2027 pilot partners.
To take part, find your place on the map, open its page and choose Claim this listing. Once we have confirmed you work there, we arrange a visit. If your place is not listed yet, submit it first, or get in touch and tell us about it.
