SAN DIEGO, California -·2013 is a year of SUP photos galore because SupConnect has been running a monthly SUP Photo Contest.··A winner has been announced for each calendar month and by the time December rolls around there will be 11 monthly winners as well as a few hand selected winners (judges favorites) who will go head to head in the final showdown for the title of SUP Photo of the Year! 

 

The June, 2013 photo contest winner, which had the most votes and will automatically advance to the December final, is titled "Mangroves Passage (Puerto Rico)" and was submitted by Héctor D. Vázquez Estrada. The photo description explained that Héctor took the photo from a camera on his paddle in the island of Guilligan, Guánica, Puerto Rico. He shared that the location has two large passages loaded with mangroves and that the clear waters of the island and the groves seem to beckon you to stay there. Congratulations Héctor, it will be fun to see this photo compete with other great pictures in the December final.

 

Other "judges choice" photos will also advance into the December 2013 final so stay tuned for this news and more in the months to come! In the mean time, hurry and enter the July Photo Contest! ·
