An hour south of Anchorage Alaska is a fjord called Turnagain Arm. At this place of exceptional beauty the incoming tide collides with water draining out of the fjord and creates a tidal bore. The video shows three standup paddle-boarders cruising up the fjord.

It was only 1 year ago that I returned from my first visit to Teluk Meranti where, together with a few friends, I went to Surf the Bono, a tidal bore wave on the Kampar river in Sumatra, Indonesia.
