SubmitYour Course

Run a stand up paddle race? Send us its course. An editor draws it as a Test Course that paddlers can find from your race's page and paddle on their own, any day of the year.

What We Publish

  • A simplified line, never your file. We read the course's shape from your file and draw it with about 200 points. The file, its times and any other data in it stay private, and so does a course map image.
  • Gates drawn by an editor. An editor places the start, the turns and the finish and checks the distance against what the race states. The course goes live only once the owner approves it.
  • Credit to your race. The course page names your race and links to it on our calendar, and your race's page leads to the course.

What To Send

The course file is best: a GPX, KML or GeoJSON file of the course line, or a GPS track of one clean lap (up to 5 MB). A course map works too, as a JPEG, PNG or WebP image (up to 25 MB). With neither, describe the course: the start, the marks in order and the finish. Already in our Test Courses? Send a correction the same way.

No Race? A Training Loop

Host a flat-water loop on your home water that mirrors no race: about 3 mi (5 km) on a lake, reservoir or sheltered bay, with no current on the line and a public launch. Choose This Is A Training Loop, Not A Race, name the water, and nominate a Host who can paddle the measured trace, yourself or a club. An editor checks the water and draws it as a standard course; its times are modelled from comparable races.

Your Permission

A race's course map belongs to the race. Send only a course you organize, or one the organizer lets you share. Every submission carries this line, ticked by the sender:

I am the organizer, or have their permission to share this course. Supconnect publishes a simplified line drawn from it, never the file or the image itself, and credits the organizer.
