HUNTINGTON BEACH, California – The finals of the Huntington Beach Pro were held in sunny southern California last weekend on October 1st and showcased the best of the best in stand up paddle surf. Conditions held up for the final but the size backed off a bit to yield surf in the 2 – 3 foot range but this was more than enough for the finalists to prove their skill.

Marking the first time that the Stand Up World Tour held a contest on the mainland U.S., stand up paddle surfers from around the world were in attendance. Tour favorite and current leader Kai Lenny proved that the next generation of watermen coming out of Hawaii are pretty much insanely talented in knee high mush or double overhead killers.

Check out the video above for highlights from the last day of the event and read the full article on all the action.

Morgan Becker

After spending the first part of her life in Minnesota, Morgan traded in her snow boots for sandals and moved to sunny California. After graduating with a degree in Communication from The University of Southern California, she eventually made her way down south to San Diego and is taking advantage of the living by the best beaches and burritos California has to offer. If it’s sunny, you can find her at the beach relaxing, or exploring the calm water in the bay via paddleboards and kayaks.
