SAN DIEGO, California - Mark W Schaefer, one of the leading marketing figures in the world, recently wrote an excellent article mentioning Supconnect's very own Andre Niemeyer, some really fun digital marketers and paddleboards.

 

It all started When Andre and some of his media team attended the Social Media Marketing World Conference 2013 in San Diego, CA.  This was a gathering of some of the most influential leaders and upcoming leaders in digital media from across the world.  Knowing that many people would be flying in a day or two ahead of time, Andre felt that showing a little true Southern California hospitality was in order.  

 

With his background in surf and stand up paddle, he began to invite people digitally/online  to head out for a stand up paddleboard (SUP) session just off of Coronado Island before the conference began.  Ultimately a crew of about 7 people came to try SUP for the first time and everyone had a blast!

 

As large as the conference was and although there were many people to meet and greet throughout the duration of the event, this group of new found  "paddling pals" had huge smiles to flash at one another whenever they crossed paths.  SUP had bonded a total group of strangers in less than a few hours.
