Boardworks Surf Announces New SUP Team Manager

CARLSBAD, California - Boardworks Surf announced today that Michael Tavares has been named as Stand Up Paddle Team Manager Team. Tavares has been with Boardworks working in many facets over the past three years and will add team manager to his list of titles. He started with Boardworks back in 2011 as a whitewater elite team paddler and brought a strong set of background skills to the crew.

He quickly became a “jack of all trades” for the company and in 2012 added Tennessee sales rep and ”Show Up & Blow Up” demo tour manager to his roster of responsibilities. Mike now paddles in almost every discipline of SUP which enables him to get a feel for the sport in every corner of the country. “We have our sites set high for 2014” says Tavares, “ We have an amazing team of athletes and ambassadors that represent our brand to the fullest. Its going to be great to continue to work with them as well as add a handful of paddlers to the team that can help us share our commitment and stoke to the SUP community.”

The Boardworks team and ambassador program consists of people who “stand out” in and out of the water both as athletes and as exemplary human beings.
