Massive School Of Anchovies Off San Diego Beaches

SAN DIEGO, California - A massive school of anchovies spotted at Scripps in La Jolla had beach goers a bit spooked this week. Not only because the fishes' arrival comes less than a week after a shark-related incident in nearby LA, but also because of the sheer volume and size of the school. Scientists at Scripps Institute of Oceanography have confirmed that it was an environmental anomaly and not a sign of the apocalypse, a shark risk or anything else that will possibly make you want to avoid going into the water.

The school has since moved on - did anyone out there swim with them? Drop us a line in the comments below.
