Supconnect's Highlights From the Hanohano

SAN DIEGO, California - Once again, the Hanohano Huki Ocean Challenge graced the shores of Mission Bay. Hundreds of paddlers (SUP's, OC's and prone paddlers) made their way across the sandy shores and into the lineup at Bonita Cove, where another spirited event went down. It was a typically beautiful winter day in San Diego, with 75 degree weather, a light breeze in the air and plenty of paddling friends, families and alumni spread out across the contest arena. As far as events go, its one of the best of its kind - there was an amazing vibe and a real sense of community.

We were really stoked to bring viewers an unofficial (and impromptu) webcast, bringing viewers who could't be there closer to the action. If you'd like to relive some of the action, the player above is there for your viewing pleasure.

The stoked crew of JWC groms, racing in the under 12 division. This is the future of SUP Racing.

The crew from ULI was on hand, both racing and socializing after the event was over.

Men's 14' foot winner was Tahitian Georges Cronsteadt. Prior to racing in the Hanohano, Georges spent the morning with supconnect - check out the interview and images here
