SUP Surfing The Wedge

NEWPORT BEACH, California - The Wedge in Newport Brach is internationally regarded as one of the most heavy and intense waves of its kind. When a large south swell hits the Balboa Peninsula, the wave dishes out beatings from sun up till sundown to anybody who tries their hand at dancing with the banshee. While it's mostly body boarders, body surfers and a handful of surfers who are known for this brand of craziness, the occasional stand up surfer has ventured out there.
