SAN DIEGO, California - The SUP Travel Company, a travel organization focused solely on providing high-quality vacation package experiences for people who love to stand up paddleboard (a.k.a. SUP) has just launched online.

While it has widely been known within the water sports industry that SUP is the fastest growing water sport in the world, it is just now entering the mainstream travel mindset as beach goers and lake visitors continually see people gliding on the water. “I see definite parallels,” says Wesley Baker, the founder of The SUP Travel Company and veteran SURF industry executive, “to where SUP is now and the surf industry was in the early 80’s when I first entered the surf industry.”

The surf travel industry growth exploded over the last twenty years precisely because surf-only travel companies sprouted up to meet the unique needs of surfers worldwide. “That’s exactly our mission for the SUP Travel Company. Our complete focus is SUP and travel, and to make sure each of our guests on our packaged trips have exactly the SUP experience they seek” adds Wesley.

For these reasons, we have launched our first service, a world-class travel tour package company called SUPHolidays.com. SUP Holidays aims to be the de facto and trusted travel service catering to both SUP-crazy enthusiasts and newly enthralled SUP beginners. Guests will book 3 nights to 14 night vacations in some of the world’s finest surf (and now SUP) destinations, and where every trip is designed to maximize one’s SUP experience.

Currently, at launch, SUPHolidays.com has 19 destinations, 7 countries on 4 continents, including tropical locations near the U.S. (Grenada, Mexico and Costa Rica, and, of course, Hawaii) and Europe (Canary Islands, Majorca, and the coast of Spain). We expect in the next six months to add many more destinations around the world that add to the diversity of types of holidays available, and, at all times, a fanatical focus on creating outstanding SUP experiences and, an overall goal of providing wonderful and highly enjoyable, yet relaxing trips.

At each 4-star destination, guests can choose the type of holiday they want. We always offer 3 standard types of trips, and have partnered with the best SUP guides to fulfill our SUP offerings:

• Learn To SUP – where instructors teach guests how to SUP in flat water and waves

• SUP Guide – where guided instructors take guests out for 1-3 hour excursions, exploring places only

accessible by board

• Just SUP – where the guests, in most cases, can explore the environs all-day and for every day of their trip.

We also recognize the need, in this age of do-it-yourself travel, to offer trips where we combine with SUP a number of additional value-added activities, such as Yoga or Spas that people just can’t pull off on their own, or at our price points.

SUP Holidays has its Sales and Operations office in Southern California and its marketing and contracting work takes place in New York and in the United Kingdom.
