5. Euro Tour Announces New Stop In Egypt

The EuroTour is very happy to announce a brand new event for #EuroTour2020 in Egypt, the Egypt SUP Championship! The event will take place on the 21-22 of November. This is the first time for the EuroTour to go to beautiful Aswan, Egypt in the waters of the iconic Nile River. In its first edition the new regional event will have a weekend full of activities organized by the local crew, including visiting some of the historical local attractions. Also, for the first year, the EuroTour is making the main events on inflatable boards of up to 14’ long, to facilitate logistics and travel to the region. More details HERE.

1. OKC Paddle Boarding – Urban, Suburban and on the Wild Side

Once known mostly for its ‘dustbowl days’ and winds sweeping down the plains, Oklahoma City has come into its own as a mecca for outdoor urban adventure, especially when it comes to both whitewater and flatwater paddling. The transformation was intentional and began with the rejuvenation of the Oklahoma River, a once dry riverbed cutting through the heart of the city. A one-cent sales tax initiative known as MAPS (Metropolitan Area Projects) revitalized the river with a series of low-water dams creating a destination for paddlers, rowers and economic development.
